This pendant is part of my Osage Collection and is inspired by the wild mustangs that graze Osage County, Oklahoma. I set a rich brown cut of Wild Horse stone in a .925 silver setting that tells the story of the wild mustangs. Can you see the hoof prints that roam under the prairie’s turquoise open skies? The ever present winds (silver wisps) blow the thick, Turkey Foot Blue Stem grass.. The grass grows so high you have to search for the horses that graze in it. The silver dangles at the bottom represent buckskin fringe. Turn the piece over and you will find a pierced representation of the bluestem grass and a silver arrowhead of the proud, native Osage people. The pendant measures 5” in length (bail to bottom of fringe) and 1.5” wide and is suspended on a leather cord with a sterling silver lobster-claw clasp.
